Planning permission has been secured for a new swimming pool, courtyard, garage and the conversion of an outbuilding to form a home office.
The site is on the edge of a Conservation Area so careful consideration was given to how the new buildings would relate to the existing house and the wider setting of the village.
The proposed use of natural stone, pantiles and hardwood joinery details will match the materials of the existing house. The scale of the swimming pool, which features a simple sloping roof, will sit comfortably between the 2-storey house and single-storey outbuilding. Large rooflights will allow an abudance of natural light to enter the pool and a large glazed door, which runs the length of the eastern elevation, can be opened-up onto a new courtyard.
We are currently progressing with an application for Building Regulations approval so that construction can commence this summer.
