Holiday Park at Spanby Farm

After receiving positive advice from the Local Planning Authority, Lowfields Leisure Ltd of North Scale near Lincoln submitted a Full Planning application for a new caravan holiday park at Spanby Farm, aimed at the angling sector of the market.

Once submitted the proposal ran into difficulties and the consultancy was brought in to provide a sequential analysis of the site location, commission a suitable Flood Risk Assessment and answer the many peripheral planning questions. Visual impact was a key concern and the practice undertook a full Landscape Visual Assessment, which resulted in the production of a detailed planting scheme to assimilate the proposed fishing lakes, mobile homes/log cabins and environmental areas into the landscape.

Planning permission was secured and work is completed on site with the early transplant of the existing, front boundary hedge and the construction of the fishing lakes, each bund and roadways.
