The housing layout that demonstrated how land might be developed appropriately.

The Consultancy recently obtained planning permission for a scheme of 18 houses in the village of Heckington following a planning appeal.
The application was in outline, but the Consultancy was required to design a layout to demonstrate the site could be developed taking into account its sensitive location in the village, adjacent to the Conservation Area, with views through the site to St Andrews Church, a Grade 1 Listed Building and dominant landmark.
The planning application was supported by Planning Officers, but not by the Planning Committee and permission was granted following a successful planning appeal by the Robert Doughty Consultancy. The Inspector granted permission referring to the layout design as demonstrating that development would be acceptable in respect of the village character.
